HOW TO GET HERE

If you’re looking for a destination with lots of outdoor recreation, wonderful dining options, excellent lodging variety, great weather, and plenty of mountain charm, you’ll want to visit Granby! We are located just 85 miles west of Denver, making it an easy destination to reach.

BY CAR

From Denver, it will take about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to Granby. Take I-70 west to exit 232. US Hwy 40 will take you over Berthoud Pass through Winter Park and eventually all the way to Granby.

BY AIR

The nearest airport to Granby is Denver International Airport, just over 2 hours away by car. Granby is also home to the Granby/Grand County Airport, which is a small regional facility that can handle smaller personal aircrafts.

BY BUS

If traveling by bus is more your speed, you have several options. Home James Transportation Services offers shuttle services multiple times a day from Denver International Airport to Granby, and even provides private services, picking you up from wherever you are in Colorado. For a cost-effective option, Bustang offering daily bus service throughout Colorado with stops in Granby.

BY TRAIN

Amtrak’s California Zephyr runs all the way from Chicago to San Francisco, passing through Granby on the way. People say this is one of the most beautiful train trips in all of North America. Take it from Denver's Union Station directly to Granby for the day, and locally, it can be used to travel between Granby and Fraser. Make sure to check current schedules and purchase tickets in advance.

GETTING AROUND TOWN

The Lift is a local regional bus system that transports people around the area for no cost. It runs from Winter Park to Granby and back several times each day.

While downtown Granby is very walkable, you will need a car to visit some of the destinations in and outside of town. Avalanche Car Rentals rents both cars and SUVs and even offers customers 75 free driving miles per day.

Note that Uber and Lyft do not operate in Granby and there are no taxi services, so make sure you have your transportation sorted out before you arrive.
