What is the theme of the 2025 4th of July parade?
This year's theme is "Red, White & Blue: Electric Avenue," an 80s-inspired celebration! Both spectators and parade participants are encouraged to embrace the 80s spirit! Think neon colors, patriotic attire, leg warmers, headbands, and anything that sparkles!
What is the parade route?
The parade route runs along Agate Avenue (Main Street) from 5th Avenue through Zero Street, where it turns off of Main Street and ends at Polhamus Park.
What time should I arrive for the parade?
The parade kicks off at 11 AM, but plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early (or even earlier to get your preferred spot). Highway 40 will close approximately 30 minutes prior to the parade start with bypasses in place on Park Lane and 6th Avenue.
Where can I find parking for the parade?
Free parking is available in public lots or on side streets. Parking is prohibited on Main Street within the parade route.
How can I participate in the parade?
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. Complete the Parade Entry form by June 27, 2025. Awards will be given for Funniest Entry, Most Creative Entry and Most on Theme Entry. Detailed information is available on the entry form.
Are pets allowed at the parade?
Leashed pets are welcome at the parade, but keep in mind that crowds, sirens, hot concrete and loud music can be a bit overwhelming. If you choose to bring a pet, please keep them leashed, close, hydrated and clean up after them.
Will there be food and drinks available?
Yes, a variety of food and drink vendors as well as a BBQ hosted by the Rotary will be set up in Polhamus Park. Downtown restaurants are also a great option for breakfast before the parade and throughout the day.
What happens if it rains?
The parade will proceed rain or shine! In the event of severe weather, updates will be posted on our Facebook page.
When and where can I watch Granby's fireworks?
The fireworks displays will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings following the Flying Heels Rodeo around 9:15 - 9:30 pm. Keep in mind rodeo is a live event, so start times can vary. Access to fireworks viewing from the rodeo stands requires a rodeo ticket purchase. However, the fireworks display can be enjoyed from various free vantage points throughout the Granby area.
What is the cost to attend 4th of July events?
The Parade, Party in the Park, Live Music, Fly-in and Family Bike Parade are all free to attend. Food and beverages are available for purchase. Admission and entry fees are required for the Rodeo and Color Run.
4th of July festivities are hosted in collaboration with community partners and Destination Granby, a nonprofit organization bringing events and programming to our community. Donations are welcome to support our mission. Donate >
