Bars & Breweries
Raise a toast to another perfect day in the mountains at Granby’s bars and breweries. No matter the season, there’s always something to celebrate here.
Founded in 2016 as a small tasting room, Never Summer Brewing Co. in Granby has definitely come into its own. If outdoor adventures tend to leave you thirsty, make sure this place is on your itinerary. In a hurry to get a fire going back at the cabin? Pick up a growler to go!
These folks have mastered everything from light, balanced cream ales to complex porters. Tasty nonalcoholic sodas have been spotted on tap, too. Stop by at happy hour and treat your skiing partner to an IPA or ESB. This is serious beer, with a detailed menu that will make your mouth water. Think notes of toffee, clove, and caramel, plus florals and fruits.
If you’ve worked up an appetite on your adventures, grab some takeout nearby and bring it in with you. Have a seat at a rustic wood table and dig in while you sample the brews. And if you need some quality time with your canine companion, well-behaved, on-leash dogs are welcome.
Mix It Up
Classy bartenders and elegant bespoke cocktails. Gleaming bar tops and tempting wine specials. No-frills watering holes where you can mingle with the locals. You’ll find them all at the bars in Granby.
Raise a glass to your biggest trout of the season, or celebrate the rush of that double-black-diamond run. Anything pairs well with the wild game burger at Maverick’s Grille, where they pull crisp Colorado micros and maintain a full bar.
You can’t miss the Granby Garage Roadhouse, with its stunning modern mural and classic auto shop façade. The sight of a cold one after a dusty hike will be almost as beautiful as the building itself. Or travel back in time to 1927 at the historic Brickhouse 40, where the drink menu is as solid as the stylish brick walls.
Friendly and Festive
There are also some excellent bars tucked into larger establishments. The Inn at SilverCreek is home to the Apothecary Bar and Lounge, where you can cut it up on the dance floor at the Renaissance Room. Enjoy custom cocktails slopeside at the Bluebird Bistro at Granby Ranch. They also offer a well-rounded wine list, local micros, and easy-drinking light beers.
If you loved Granby during fishing season, why not come back and do some snowmobiling? As you can see, there’s plenty to do when you’re ready to venture into town. We’re your four-season destination for an authentic mountain town experience, complete with happy hours, nightlife, and good times that will raise your spirits.
