Golfing

Two of the four world-class courses in the county are located in Granby, which is why planning a golf outing here is the perfect way to create unforgettable memories. Grand Elk Golf Club and Granby Ranch both offer courses that any aficionado will enjoy. Located less than 3 miles from downtown Granby, both are also close to many lodging options.

GRAND ELK GOLF CLUB

With breathtaking views of the Continental Divide, Grand Elk Golf Club’s par 71, 18-hole golf course has received high accolades, with top honors from Golf Digest, Colorado Golf, and other national golf publications.

PGA Tour veteran and 13-time champion Craig Stadler and Tripp Davis designed the 7,144 yard course to take full advantage of the sweeping panoramic vistas. The course design was inspired by the Scottish “Heathland” courses, featuring the native sagebrush and valley wetlands. The front nine plays through rolling terrain and the back nine plays along wetlands and wildlife habitat. On-site, you’ll also find a practice range, restaurant, and of course, stunning views. Group and private lessons are also available.

GRANBY RANCH

The Granby Ranch golf course offers 18-hole play for golfers of all levels. The incredibly scenic course consistently ranks as one of the top mountain golf courses in the state of Colorado.

The 7,123 yard par 72 course boasts views of the Rocky Mountains on every hole with the front nine designed around native grasses and wetlands along the meandering Fraser River. The back nine features elevation changes in a mountain valley setting providing picturesque tee shots and breaking putts.

It’s also not uncommon to spot wildlife throughout your round at Granby Ranch. Golfers have reported seeing everything from elk to golden eagles and even black bears. A driving range, putting greens, practice bunkers, rentals, and lessons will complete your experience.
