Tubing & Sledding

If you’re looking for an exhilarating thrill ride of a different kind, Granby has a few options for snow-tubing or sledding during your winter getaway.

TUBING

Feel the rush of the wind on your face as you zoom down the mountain on the tubing hill at YMCA of the Rockies – Snow Mountain Ranch. This classic winter activity is perfect for the whole family, and they provide the tubes so you’re set and ready to go. If you aren’t staying at Snow Mountain Ranch, you can purchase a day pass that includes tubing, along with other winter activities like access to their Nordic skiing and snowshoeing trails, ice skating rink, swimming pool, and even roller skating rink.

Located next to each other in the nearby town of Fraser, Colorado Adventure Park and the Fraser Tubing Hill both offer snow tubing for a fun-filled, carefree way for family and friends to enjoy the exhilaration of sliding on snow. Colorado Adventure Park has single or double tubes for rent, and their magic carpet makes it easy to get back to the top of the hill. They offer a variety of other activities including snowshoe rentals, fat bike rentals, and mini snowmobiles for kids. Whether you are 3 or 103, the historic Fraser Tubing Hill offers fun and excitement for everyone. Tube rentals are available for 60 or 90 minutes and they have a small lift to take you back to the top of the hill. If you're staying closer to the town of Winter Park, the Coca-Cola Tube Hill would be another exciting option you.

TUBING AND SLEDDING

A winter day outdoors is not complete without a bit of tubing or sledding at the Grand Lake Nordic Center. They have a free tubing hill available and provide ten tubes to be shared. You are also welcome to bring your own tubes or sleds, as long as the sled does not have a sharp metal edge. This family-friendly activity is fun for kids and adults of all ages.

Whether you prefer a sled or a tube, grab your gear, find a hill, and get going!

Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime winter adventure as you learn the ropes of dog sledding through a winter wonderland. Or for a more mellow ride, get on a horse-drawn sleigh and listen to the clopping of hooves and jingle of bells as you travel through a wintery landscape.
