A Primitive Experience
Arapaho National Recreation Area and Rocky Mountain National Park both provide for convenient car camping spots close to miles of hiking and biking trails, as well as places to fish, canoe, or boat. Depending on which you choose, some also have picnic tables, grills, campfire rings, and access to potable water.
The Stillwater, Arapaho Bay, and Sunset Point Campgrounds sit on the shores of Lake Granby and offer spectacular views and easy access to recreational activities on the lake and in the surrounding forests. All offer both tent camping and RV sites. The Elk Creek Campground in Grand Lake has RV sites with full-hookup options, as well as both small and large tent camping sites, some that can accommodate two tents.
You’ll find the perfect vacation at Winding River Resort near Grand Lake. Their spacious RV and tent camping sites are surrounded by breathtaking views, and they also offer an array of activities, including horseback riding, snowmobiling, and hiking. On-site they even have an animal farm with piglets, bunnies, baby goats, and calves, and a carriage and sleigh museum. You’re certain to relax in their peaceful and unique setting.

River Run RV Resort has tons of options on how to stay, including RV sites and tent camping sites. The premium pull thru or back in RV sites have a large concrete pad that can accommodate RVs up to 50 feet. They come complete with full hookups for 30/50 amp electrical, water, sewer, cable, and include free Wi-Fi. In addition to their standard lodge rooms and cabins, their camping sites are great for either RVs or tent camping. They have three options of sites, some with full water, electricity, and sewer hookups. All include a picnic table and fire ring, perfect for enjoying an evening gathered with your loved ones around the fire. On-site amenities include everything from hiking and biking trails to zip-lining and canoeing.
Glamping
Want to camp, but want to do it in a more glamorous way? Granby also offers several glamping experiences, ideal for families or for that romantic getaway.
The Grand Outlook at Antler Basin Ranch offers a one-of-a-kind glamping experience. This unique private retreat is the first Autonomous Tent in the Rockies and will grant you with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Made from wood and fully insulated for cozy, private seclusion, the tent has a king size bed, full bath, bar, sitting area, gas fireplace, and one full wall made of glass that will leave you breathless.
