Earlier this year, a new project was launched to showcase local art and photography on the light pole banners lining Granby's Main Street. The initiative started with illustrations by local artist Michaela Cross, followed by a collection featuring the photography of Jay Stewart celebrating Granby's ranching and rodeo roots.
Now, as the snow begins to fly and we move fully into the winter season, a magical new series is on display. This latest collection features the outdoor scenes of local artist Wendy Mulberry Carmichael. Her art captures the enchanting quiet of winter, depicting Granby's beautiful scenery and animals.
“This project highlights the incredible talent we have right here in Granby," said Sarah Cichon, Executive Director. “Wendy’s art perfectly captures the whimsical magic of a Granby winter. It invites everyone to slow down, smile, and appreciate the special beauty of this season in our town.”

About the Artist: Wendy Mulberry Carmichael
Wendy Mulberry Carmichael is a local Granby artist whose work is recognizable for its joyful outdoor themes.
"For me, the holiday season is deeply connected to nature—whether it’s the fresh scent of evergreen or the magic of a sleigh ride through a snowy forest,” said Carmichael. “That is the feeling I channeled when creating these banners. Using bold acrylic colors, I incorporated animals, natural elements, and the spirit of the season into each design. It is quite humbling to have my lifelong passion for art displayed so prominently in our wonderful town. Thank you to Destination Granby for this incredible opportunity!"
As a member of the local arts community, Wendy has also been a participant in Granby’s Art in the Park events.
Wendy’s hand-painted ornaments will also be available for purchase at the Granby Information Center.
