Are you planning to visit Rocky Mountain National Park during peak season? Timed entry permits are required for the dates of May 24 through mid-October between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Outside of these dates and times, no permit is required. This system helps to control crowds and ensure a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Keep in mind: a valid park pass is required in addition to the permit, as well as during non-permit times.

Permits can be reserved online at recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777. There is a $2 processing fee for each timed entry permit reservation. A valid park entrance pass is also required to enter the park.

There are two different timed entry permit options to choose from: Timed Entry or Timed Entry + Bear Lake Road

Permits are valid for a specific date and time.

You cannot change your permit once it has been booked.
