Where to Nordic / Cross Country Ski
Snow Mountain Ranch
With 120K of world-class terrain meandering through more than 5,000 acres of pine forest and wide meadows, Snow Mountain Ranch is a must-visit destination for both nordic ski enthusiasts and novices. With more than 30 trails ranging from easy to difficult, a biathlon course, as well as pet-friendly trails, there is skiing for all levels and abilities. In addition, Snow Mountain Ranch offers rentals, lessons, and a full nordic ski shop with gear and apparel.
Granby Ranch
Granby Ranch offers lift-accessed nordic trails on its East Mountain as well as groomed nordic trails on its golf course. Trails range from easy to difficult.
Additional Nordic Ski Centers and Trails

Grand Nordic
Grand Nordic, the official Nordic Club of Grand County, provides information about the local Nordic centers, trails, and youth programs, as well as backcountry reports and conditions.

Youth Programs
2023 Grand Nordic Kids Learn to Ski Program
This program offers ski instruction for children ages 5-10, skiing games, winter nature activities, and ends with a Nordic Ski Festival and prizes for all. The program will be offered Fridays 1:00-2:30pm, January 20 - February 24, 2023, with no classes February 3. Classic, skate and never-ever lessons are available with a maximum of 25 students total. 2025 Granby Cross Country Cruisers Nordic Club
This fun club will introduce participants to the fundamentals of Nordic skiing, increase skiing endurance, teach responsible equipment care, and encourage FUN for all! Kids in 2nd—5th grade (K—1st graders welcome, if accompanied by a parent) are invited. Nordic equipment available for use at no additional fee. Pre-registration required.
Dates: Wednesdays, February 5—February 22
Times: 4:15—6:00 PM
Fee: $45 for the 4 weeks; includes equipment
Location: Meet at Mrs. Ledesma's Kindergarten room at GES and pick-up at the bus loop by the gym; ski at Granby Trails (transportation provided to & from Granby Trails)
2024-2025 Winter Park Nordic Ski Team
Training is held at Snow Mountain Ranch and will consist of technique-specific drills, Nordic games, and long-distance skiing to build endurance, balance, agility, and strength. Both classic and skate techniques will be emphasized and required as a part of practice in order to help the athlete become a better all-around skier. Development, Competitive Development and Competitive Race Team programs are available.

Fraser Valley Metro Rec District:
Join FVRD After School and enjoy some outdoor adventures! Students will learn cross country skiing techniques through a variety of games and exercises. Snack and equipment will be provided. Students MUST wear appropriate outdoor clothing including warm, waterproof coat, snow pants, hat, mittens or gloves, neck warmer and warm socks.
Nordic Ski Gear & Apparel
Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center offers a full shop with apparel and gear, everything you need to get out on the trails. The Nordic Ski Swap and Expo held in October is an ideal time to get deals or find both new and used gear.
