The 2026 summer season at Granby Ranch officially opens off on Wednesday, May 27, kicking off lift-served mountain biking, scenic hiking, golf and outdoor concerts. From downhill races to family events to Sunday brunches on the Bluebird Bistro patio, here is your ultimate guide to everything happening on the mountain this summer.
Biking
The Granby Ranch Quickdraw Express Lift opens for the summer on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. From this date forward, the bike park and scenic lift rides will be operating Wednesday through Sunday. Granby Ranch’s Bike Park features a variety of terrain from technical downhill features to flowing cross-country loops. The season starts with high energy as the mountain hosts the Big Mountain Enduro from May 28–31, bringing an incredible atmosphere as elite riders kick off this premier North American series. For those looking to build confidence on the dirt, the mountain offers several structured programs, including private 2.5-hour lessons, "Downhill Shredders" camps for kids ages 7–12, and the She Bike Series, which provides a social and instructional environment specifically for women.
Scenic Lift Rides, Hiking and Disc Golf
The Granby Ranch trail system offers everything from rugged summit paths to casual lower-mountain loops; just remember that most trails are multi-use, so it is helpful to stay mindful of others and practice standard trail etiquette. If you prefer the views without the climb, the Quickdraw Express provides a relaxing way to reach the summit for a high-altitude stroll or a photo op. Additionally, the mountain features a 9-hole disc golf course that begins at the top of the lift. Players can purchase a scenic lift pass to reach the first tee and enjoy a unique downhill challenge as they play their way back to the base area.
Golf
Situated at 8,000 feet, the 18-hole course features stunning Rocky Mountain views and the winding Fraser River. Plus, the GR Eats food truck is back with an added perk: place your order at the 9th tee box and your food will be ready for you at the turn!
Summer Events and Music
Sunday Patio Music (Starts May 10):
A relaxed way to ease into the season, featuring local solos and duos on the bistro patio.
Wednesday Night Music Series (Starts June 3):
These mid-week concerts run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the base area and are perfect for a family-friendly night out.
Human Potential Running Series Trail Race (June 6):
An ultra-distance challenge that tests endurance on the mountain's rugged terrain.
KFFR Birthday Bash (June 10):
A celebration of 10 years of community radio, featuring a live performance by Shakedown Street.
Rocky Mountain Music Series (July 3 & Sept 5):
The signature events of the summer. These large-scale outdoor festivals feature headlining bands, family zones, and food trucks. Entry is free, but an RSVP is required.
Downhill Gravity 5K (July 19):
A unique, fast-paced race that takes participants 1,000 vertical feet down the mountain.
Dining at Bluebird Bistro
After the full season opening on May 27, the bistro will offer lunch and dinner Wednesday through Saturday. A significant addition for 2026 is Sunday Brunch, held every week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This all-day event features a specialized menu along with $5 Mimosas and Bloody Marys, making it a great spot to gather after a morning on the trails or the course.
