The Bowerbird's Den is an art gallery, furniture and decor store, gift shop, and boutique. You will find plenty of vintage and antique relics, collectibles, jewelry, rocks, crystals, gems, and locally made art and artisan goods. True to its namesake, the clever and intrepid bowerbird that searches out treasure to create a den of collected finds that it expertly decorates and redecorates with gathered goods, The Bowerbird's Den does not disappoint.
From Granby's Past to a Revitalized Present
In 2021, Mark and Autumn Bishop embarked on an ambitious, detailed, full, and faithful renovation of one of the oldest buildings on Main Street in Granby. Built in 1913, the building, with its storied history—having been a feed store, a mercantile, a grocery, and an auto parts store, to name a few—was an antique mall for many years before becoming The Bowerbird's Den. In January 2022, The Bowerbird's Den store opened to the public, with renovations ongoing to this day.
A Heart for Community and Creativity
The owner/operator of the store, Autumn Bishop, is deeply committed to community, beautifying and preserving Main Street to reflect Granby's unique small mountain town appeal, and supporting the arts. Believing in the vision of a weekly summer market in the town's centrally located and gorgeous Polhamus Park, spearheaded by Sarah Cichon, Director of Destination Granby, Autumn was eager to be the presenting sponsor of the very first Music & Market series. She has supported it every year since its inception and is honored to be part of this very popular and ever-growing event that is perfect for and enjoyed by all ages, locals and visitors alike.
