Celebrate 4th of July in Granby! Each year, Granby transforms into a quintessential small town celebration of America. There are several days of activities, so you're sure to find something for everyone to enjoy.

2022 Schedule of Events

Saturday, July 2

7-10:30am | EAA Fly-In & Pancake Breakfast

Enjoy pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice on the tarmac at the Granby Airport. All proceeds go to the annual fundraiser to send young people to the EAA Air Academy summer camps and provide scholarships to local graduates pursuing a career in aviation fields. 

10:30am | Gut Buster - Color Run 5K

The Color Run is back! The run is open to anyone and everyone, from 1 to 100! This year's run is strictly a fun run (not timed). We will have several color stations along the course, as well as a giant Slip N Slide station for anyone that's brave enough! Register Here

12 - 2pm | Community Cookout at the Moffat Road Railroad Museum

Stop by the Moffat Road Railroad Museum for food and family fun! They will have a BBQ Meal ($24) and a Hot Dog Meal ($14). They will also have lawn games that are great for the whole family. Meal price includes admission to the museum.

2:30-9:30pm | Rocky Mountain Music Series

Spend the afternoon at Granby Ranch for live music, food & drink, and activities for the whole family! The bands are set to play from 3pm - 9pm. Find more information here!

7pm | Rodeo

Come to Flying Heels Arena for the rodeo, featuring the Westernaires, in honor of 4th of July! A great event for the entire family, there’s always bull riding, roping, barrel racing, games for the kids, and more. Purchase tickets.

Sunday, July 3

11am | Family Bike Parade

Grab your bike, decorate it, and join us as we ride through Granby! Stop by Polhamus Park between 9:30-10:30 am to decorate your bike. Then bike through Granby to show off your work (bike route will be safe for all ages). We'll end the parade back at Polhamus Park where Kona Shaved Ice will be on site if you need a cool treat.

7pm | Rodeo

Come to Flying Heels Arena for the rodeo, featuring the Westernaires, in honor of 4th of July! A great event for the entire family, there’s always bull riding, roping, barrel racing, games for the kids, and more. Purchase tickets.

9:15pm | Fireworks | Flying Heels Arena

Fireworks will take place at the Flying Heels Arena immediately after the rodeo, approximately 9:15 pm. The show this year will be choregraphed to music, tune in to FM87.9 to hear the broadcast! Remember, the rodeo is a live event, which means that there is not an exact start time for the fireworks. They can begin anytime between 9:15pm and 9:30pm.

Monday, July 4

9am - 2pm | Used Book Sale | Granby Library Community Room

Friends of the Library are hosting a used book sale. All proceeds support children's programming throughout the district, all year long.

11am | 4th of July Parade | Downtown Granby

We take pride in our small town with a BIG heart. Our entire community—families, businesses, community groups—enter into our parade to show their community spirit! This year's parade theme is Peace, Love, and Independence. Line up on Main Street and join in on our 4th of July celebration! 

11am - 11:30 | Military Flyover | Downtown Granby 

12pm | Party in the Park

Join us for Party in the Park immediately following the conclusion of the parade, approximately 12 pm! There will be live music from the Ashton Lee Band, awards for the parade, food from the Granby Rotary, an Ear2Ear Photo Booth, and kids games provided by the Granby Rec Department! 

7pm | Rodeo
