2024 ART IN THE PARK ARTIST PROFILE

Edith "Snohock" Snow

Edith S"Windows to the Past" Artwork

The history of Granby, Colorado, is rich with Native American folklore. The fierce wildlife and the forces of nature created a beautiful balance and attracted hunters, and gatherers, to visit the area. The stories passed through the generations vary based on perception by opposing tribes; one tribe’s experience is bad and another is magical.  This art piece is a collaborative visual experience that lets the viewer experience the different viewpoints in one blended piece - a snapshot into the past.

Artist Statement

Snohock (Edith Snow) is an artist from Cheyenne, Wyoming. Perception with a twist, I gravitate towards a combination of realism and surrealism. Best known for my wildlife and nature scenes, I’m a multidisciplinary artist, with an emphasis in acrylic paint. A college graduate in Web Development, with a background in Art and Design. Not afraid to try new techniques, or applications. Creativity is my passion. I like to think outside of the box.
